If you are like us, you love your staple products (TGIN) but every now and then you get adventurous and want to do a little mixing in the kitchen. We came across a DIY sugar and water hair spray that works great at holding the hair in place as well as eliminating frizz. The ingredients are very simple, sugar and water with optional essential oils. Don’t worry, contrary to popular belief your hair will not become an ants play ground. Especially when done in the winter. This product is great for a night on the town and will leave your hair smelling great and kept in place for hours, without the use of drying chemicals.

What you’ll need:

A spray bottle

1/2 cup of hot water

2 teaspoons of sugar

5 to 8 drops of your favorite essential oil (grapefruit, orange, lavender) Optional

Directions:

1. Boil water

2. Add sugar

3. Stir until sugar dissolves

4. Allow to cool

5. Add essential oils of your choice

6. pour into spray bottle

7. Apply to your hair
