I occasionally look at intros and I have noticed two main trends really. Either people seem to have liked ponies and then found the PF2 servers or they liked TF2 found the PF2 servers then watched the show. So simple poll just for my curiosity. I included a few options which I think cover all the possible but there is an “other” option just in case.

In my particular case liked ponies long before playing TF2 for the first time (at least half a year). I can say though that while I probably would have played TF2 for a while without the PF2 severs, they are sort of what keep me playing. It’s nice to have a regular set of servers to join where you can get to know most of the players.

I've played tf2 longer than pf2 or ponies, but pf2 made the game a hell of alot funner. My tf2 playtime is about 5 times what it would have been if I hadn't found pf2.

Same with trark. I wasn't an avid TF2 player until PF2. The friends I've made have made me come back again and again :3

I never would have watched ponies if not for PF2. Then again I wouldnt like TF2 as much if it wasnt for PF2. Time paradox.

I have a little story behind me coming to like MLP.

I was playing TF2 one day and I just so happened to join a Dustbowl server. One this Dustbowl server, people were talking about Ponies. I was like, "Ponies have really been getting popular lately."
I played on this server for a little while, until someone brought up "Cupcakes".After that, I heard so many people saying how horrible it was, how they hated it, and how sickened they were after reading it. Naturally, it peaked my interest and I sought out this "Cupcakes".
I found it, read it, and was all like "Okay, I'm gonna give the show a try". I then looked up the first three episodes on Youtube, and from there on, it's history.

Yes, Cupcakes got me to liking Ponies. Perhapes the most unlikely thing to get someone interested in Ponies.

I'm the same as Trark and Ian. I really got into TF2 after I found out about PF2.

I found these servers thanks to Ponygoons shortly after becoming a brony, so I picked the first option.

I got TF2 when it became free-to-play and I eventually stumbled upon these servers. I had alot of fun here, and the ponies piqued my interest so one thing led to another. :)

I got TF2 in the Orange Box for Christmas 2009, and discovered MLP over the summer of 2011. I didnt find the PF2 servers until I was bored one day and typed in "pony" to the server browser's tag window and started playing on Fillydelphia. I then got all of my (brony) friends to play on the servers as well and it's nice having a friendly place where we can shoot each other regularly.

I've been a brony, watching True Capitalist Radio and playing TF2 all around the same time in June - July 2011, but joined the PF2 server back in early November.

Hm.. let's see... I've been a brony since February 21st 2011 on 4chan, a few months after this a few of me and my brony buddies decided that we would make our own TF2 server so we wouldn't have to go in any random ones. We did this, and I was one of the starting admins because we had to keep the trolls out (back in the day they were much worse than what they are now). After we had created our server is when my TF2ing really escalated. The server died after about 3 or 4 months due to lack of donations and everyone just kind of forgot about it and decided to play Skyrim or MW3 instead. I joined PF2 in November and as soon as I did I was hooked, I enjoyed the people, the cute sounds, and I generally had a good ping most of the time. In all honesty though, PF2 made my hours on TF2 soar, and it's because I love the people here.

Ponies are weird and gross and you should all be ashamed of yourselves. :grump:

That out of the way, I had discovered ponies around the same time that I started playing TF2. Both of these startedfrom memebase, when I saw they had added a new section, My Little Brony. There, I saw TF2/MLP crossovers, and started watching episodes and gameplay videos on youtube. By episode 7, I knew there was no turning back, and that I was no longer watching it out of curiosity of it's phenomenal popularity, but because I genuinely enjoyed it.
In that same general time (early-mid august, 2011) the TF2 gameplay videos I was watching were fascinating to me in the fact that it seemed that people weren't so serious and goofed around a lot, unlike certain other games *cough* CoD *cough* and that was just the type of game for me, seeing as whnever I went if to my cousin's house an we played Halo 3 on live (my 360 was borked and I never cared for paying to play games online :pinkieshrug: ) we made it our goal to see how quickly we could get kicked from a server for killing our teammates. The videos that solidified my interest in TF2 were mostly greifing vids, but mainly one in particular. So I downloaded steam and TF2 on August 4, 2011. Played around on random servers for a while, types 'pony' in the server search bar out of boredom, played on a My Little Mercenaries server, wasn't that great, so i went on in my search and found Pony Fortress 2: Appleoosa (I think that's the first one I found... :ponder: ) on August 17, and the rest is history. I loved the people, the micspam, all of it. I wanted to know what was this place, filled with so many wonders, casting the spell that I was then under. So I joined the forums on October 3. Never having been one for forums, I had no intention of being very active here, but clearly that's not what happened. :P

oh, here's the main video that got me into TF2, which ironically enough, has beeen sent to me on multiple occasions stating that I was in it.

I`ve been playing TF2 since December 2010, but I took a break from it sometime around when the first strange weapons started appearing, basically because I started playing Counter Strike. Eventually I got sick of how "realistic" Counter Strike was, and went back to playing TF2.

Sometime in late August 2011, I saw the video of Pinkies no fear song, and then another, and another, and more after that. At some point, I went back to a Youtube channel that I used to like, Masterlinkx, and saw that pretty much everything of his that I enjoyed was replaced by ponies. At that point, I`m thinking to myself "Jeez, what is it with all of this pony stuff? Is it really that good?" I watched the first 6 or so episodes that night, and enjoyed every second of it.
Eventually I just typed pony into the server search bar, saw that there were multiple servers under the name Pony Fortress 2, and decided that this was where I was going to play from now on.

I started TF2 back in May 2011, usually didn't care about which servers I played on.
Then around late July, I started seeing pony stuff pop up everywhere, and I just tossed it aside.
Then is mid-August, it came back to me, so I decided to check it out. Enjoyed every part of it.
A couple weeks later I wondered if there were any pony tf2 servers, so I typed "pony" in the search bar, and here I am.

I used to play TF2 from time to time on my brother's account, pretty much since 2009 until it went free, in which I got my own Steam account. I started liking Ponies back in around February/March last year.

So yeah, 3rd option is best for me. TF2 and Ponies came first, then I found PF2 :P
