I'm using a 64bit version of Windows 7 with 6gb of ram. However, even when I run Minecraft on Fast quality and Short render distance I still experience lag frequently (especially in multiplayer). I can run Tf2 in decent quality smooothly. Are there any tips/tricks to running Minecraft smoothly?

Thanks, DR Minecraft is now playable again!Make sure you're using 64-bit Java. You will get a very noticeable performance increase if you aren't using it now.
