Job Summary:

The Procurement & Inventory Manager will source products and services for Thank God It’s Natural (tgin) and create a buying strategy that considers the company budget and necessary supplies. The Procurement Manager will identify matching vendors and suppliers that meet the demands at the right price and will keep an open line of communication with the leadership team, including the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and/or the Chief Operating Officer (COO).

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Meet with supervisors and department heads to understand the needs across the company.
  • Forecast needs and supplies.
  • Review requests for proposals (RFPs).
  • Review and negotiate contracts with vendors and suppliers.
  • Review cost proposals and pricing information.
  • Prepare and administer contracts and purchase orders with specific vendors.
  • Compare bids from vendors and determine, or assist with determination, to whom contracts will be awarded.
  • Evaluate vendor proposals to ensure that all requirements are met.
  • Confirm that terms and delivery dates are accurate.
  • Evaluate competence of vendors and review their invoices for accuracy.
  • Maintains database regarding vendors’ performance and quality of product(s).
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
  • Design and implement an inventory tracking system to optimize inventory control procedures.
  • Examine the levels of supplies and raw material to determine shortages.
  • Document daily deliveries and shipments to update inventory.
  • Prepare detailed reports on inventory operations, stock levels, and adjustments.
  • Evaluate new inventory to ensure it’s ready for shipment.
  • Perform daily analysis to predict potential inventory problems.
  • Order new supplies to avoid inefficiencies or excessive surplus.
  • Other duties assigned by management.

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration or related field required.
  • Three years of relevant experience required.

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times
