How to Rock Ghana Braids with Natural Hair

We are definitely here for Ghana braids! They are the latest trend when it comes to braided styles and are absolutely gorgeous! Ghana braids are a great protective style and all around fabulous do for naturals, ladies who are transitioning, recently did the big chop, or just want a change in hair style! Here are our five favorite Ghana braid styles!

What Type of Hair do you Need?

Most stylist turn to Rasta Fri hair, and typically use 2 to 3 packs of hair. Rasta Fri hair can be found at most beauty supply stores and is typically under $5 a pack.

2. How long do they last?

Ghana braids typically last up to two weeks. Make sure that you are sleeping with a satin scarf of pillow case to persevere the style for longer.

3.What is the difference between Ghana braids and regular cornrows?

The main difference with Ghana braids is the technique. You start off with less rasta fri hair in the front for a natural start and gradually add more hair throughout the braid for a full natural look.

4. Are Ghana Braids versatile?

Ghana braids are very versatile! They don’t have be styled going straight back. You can style them into a ponytail, bun, or pretty much whatever braid style you would like. Ghana braids can take you from the office to happy hour effortlessly.

5.Can I use my favorite hair products with them?
